Heath Ledger's last movie. :( This was a very interesting movie, but not particularly entertaining. Doctor Parnassus makes a deal with the devil that he will give his daughter to the devil on her 16th birthday unless he takes so many souls. In order to take these souls he forms a "carnival group" and then entices people through a portal into the land of their imaginations. The "carnival group" then stumble across the character of Tony who helps them. He also continually steps inside the mirror which is where Heath's doubles in the film: Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law step in. Overall, the movie is very slow and drags quite a bit. Definitely not anything spectacular, but then again perhaps the script was altered quite a bit to facilitate the parts that Heath had already filmed. Nonetheless, I will forever miss seeing Heath in a new film.
